Saturday 29 July - Friday 15 September
This summer’s family friendly exhibition looks at the people behind the collections we find in museums...
From Victorian travellers who were enchanted by ancient civilisations, to contemporary local people digging up long lost treasures, this unusual exhibition tells the stories of how museums come to acquire the things they do.
Visitors young and old can enjoy posing for a 'Grand Tour Selfie' portrait whilst choosing from a selection of historic hat wear, or design their own object to join our 'cabinet of curiosities'!
A truly eclectic mix of objects from Littlehampton Museum’s own collections are complemented by loans from local collectors, The Novium in Chichester and Arundel Castle to create an exciting exhibition featuring family favourites such as Ancient Egyptian material and treasures from Roman Sussex.
The exhibition opens on Saturday 29th July and is FREE for everyone to enjoy until the 15th September.
