Natural History

In 1928 the Littlehampton Natural History and Archaeology Society founded Littlehampton Museum. The early Museum collection had a great deal of natural history specimens within its collections. Much of the Collection at some point made its way to Portsmouth Museums where today it is cared for by Cumberland House Natural History Museum. A small collection of natural history specimens still exist in Littlehampton Museum today which includes some taxidermy birds and a fox and a large collection of Moths and Butterflies (Lepidoptera).
